Stamped concrete – A unique, decorative look can be achieved using stamps to add pattern and texture. Stamped concrete is a great alternative to pavers and looks great with coloured concrete. Stamped concrete is a speciality area for Sunset Concrete Ltd as Walter spent many years perfecting his art while living in the States.

Textured concrete – The main way to achieve texture in concrete is either by using exposed aggregate or by manipulating the type of finish to create different looks like a broom finish. If you want a tiny decorative touch Sunset Concrete Ltd can cut the concrete diagonally to create triangles instead of the rectangles and squares and also cut borders for you.

Coloured concrete – Virtually any colour you want can be added to your concrete mix. Coloured concrete is also a good option for edging to create a contrast with the rest of the concreted area.

How to maintain and clean stamped concrete or coloured concrete?

Concrete is a hard-wearing and long-lasting material but like any outdoor elements your driveways, patios and paths will need maintenance to stay in top condition.

Regular cleaning will keep your concrete free of debris and prevent dirt building up.

Sweep your concrete driveway or patio regularly to remove leaves and grass. Wet leaves can be a slip hazard and decaying leaves can also leave stains on your concrete.
You can also reduce the risk of problems like oil stains by making sure any vehicles parked on your driveway are in good condition or by using a drip tray underneath.
Cleaning your concrete area is easy - just use water and brush over the area. For dirty patches using a mild detergent can help produce a better clean.
For a more thorough cleaning, especially after winter dirt build-up use a pressure washer - but be careful to not use too high a pressure to avoid damage.
It is highly recommended that you seal your stamped or coloured concrete to prevent the surface from fading prematurely. A sealer ensures the colour is not only maintained, but deepened. Resealing every few years is recommended.
